Louis Jadot Gevrey Chambertin 2009
|Region||France, Burgundy, Cote de Nuits|
BurghoundAn interesting nose of cranberry and warm earth hints that add nuance to the blue berry and red pinot fruit aromas is followed by lightly mineral-inflected and attractively detailed middle weight flavors that culminate in a sappy and mouth coating finish that is ever-so-mildly austere at present. This persistent effort should require 5 to 7 years to be at its best.
Wine AdvocateThe 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin is the best of the village-level wines. It shows tons of Gevrey character in a sweet, perfumed style I find irresistible, with gorgeous length and fine overall balance. The level of quality is admirable, considering there are 200 barrels of this cuvee. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2019.
