Deep and intense ruby colour with shades of purple. Complex on the nose, with the aromas of dried sour cherries and prunes, with juicy forest fruits and fresh sour cherries. In the background there are hints of spiciness from the oak. The taste is just as complex - this wine has depth, firm tannins, high concentration, medium acidity, pleasantly spicy finish and a lot of ripe fruitiness on the palate. The finish is marked by a firm tannic structure, a pleasant lingering spiciness, ripe Teran grapes and notes of leather in the aftertaste. This is a mature type of Teran, full-bodied, with a subtle dose of warmness and a complex character, meant to be paired with ambitious dishes and haute cuisine. Paired well with Dry aged beefsteaks and other aged steaks sprinkled with coarse salt and olive oil, or meat in rich sauces, like osso buco and similar dishes.
