Chateau Villars Fronsac 2012
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Fronsac|
Wine AdvocateOne of the top Fronsacs year in and year out, this blend of 76% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon reveals a gorgeous, deep ruby/purple color and sweet blueberry and blackberry fruit. Nice minerality and a medium to full-bodied mouthfeel make for a top-notch Fronsac in this vintage. The color is a healthy ruby/purple and the wine capable of lasting at least 10-15 years.
Wine SpectatorBright raspberry and blackberry preserve aromas and flavors lead the way, lined with anise hints and backed by a graphite note on the finish. Solid. Drink now through 2016. 300 cases imported.
