Your new favorite Spring white! Regina Minges and her father Theo farm 24 hectares organically in Flemlingen in the Southern Pfalz. Similar to Riesling, this beauty showcases cooling mint and woodruff infused pink grapefruit and honeydew melon on a polished palate, leading to a mouthwateringly salt-tinged and infectiously juicy finish. “SOMMELIER ALERT! The wine is as close to perfect as such a thing can be; sage and red currant, wry and salty and really long, even complex, certainly nuanced; hard to resist on any level.
I’m making space in the cellar for a lot of this." Terry Theise
Tyrrell's Rufus Stone Heathcote Shiraz 2013The deep rich colour of this wine indicates its intensity. The nose is full of ripe plum and dark cherries with a hint of white pepper and sweet vanillin. The flavours carry onto the palate which is full of big soft fruit, but balanced by an elegant oak structure and natural acid, resulting in a rich wine with a complex and fresh structure.
Domaine Pinson Freres Chablis Mont de Milieu 2016Tasting Notes: Exotic aromas of pineapple, vanilla, and apricot on the nose. Round, well-balanced, and with good persistence of flavor. Food Matches: Fish with sauce, white meat with cream, ham off the bone with a chablisienne sauce.
Chateau Musar White 2009The Chateau white of this year is a deep golden colour with honeyed aromas, full of tropical fruits; pineapple, banana with warm, toasty buttery notes. The palate is rich in ripe yellow fruits, quince and apricot with the pineapple flavours following through. It also has dried fruits and almonds with oak ageing characters. This is a powerful vintage full of yellow fruits and honeycomb; there is a fine balance between the oily texture and fresh acidity. Cellared well, it will keep for decades.
Trefethen Double T Red 2017This juicy red blend opens with fruit-forward notes of blackberry, dried cherry and plum complemented by rich aromatics of cedar and black pepper. On the palate, the bright red fruit flavors give way to soft, approachable tannins and nicely balanced acidity leading to a long, delicious finish. Designed to pair perfectly with backyard parties, Double T Red will shine with grilled meats, sautéed mushrooms, thyme and black pepper. For an interesting spin, serve with pepper crusted Ahi tuna. For the vegetarians in your life, pair with eggplant parmesan.
Heidi Schrock Furmint 2015The Furmint tastes best to one of my favorite dishes: Paprikahendl with dumplings.
Antonelli Sagrantino di Montefalco 2012Appearance: Intense ruby red in colour. Aroma: To the nose rich and powerful, ethereal and very complex. Typically characterised by notes of fruit and aromatic herbs, featuring citrus, cherry, wild berry, mint and oregano. Mouth Feel: On the palate this wine is very structured, with firm and persistent tannins. A wine that is best expressed with a long bottle ageing. Food Pairing: Grilled and roast meats, stewed red meats, game and mature hard cheeses.
Ladoucette Pouilly Fumé 2017Pale golden-green in color. The nose develops a natural range of subtle floral and earthy green plant aromas such as acacia, ferns, peppermint and white nettles. Notes of stony minerals and lemon give the wine a beautiful structure balanced by a fruity roundness, with a finish marked by hints of citrus fruits.
Digby Fine English Brut NVVibrant yet understated, this fizz is in its element at home on a Tuesday evening or at a party celebrating one of life's big moments. An engaging expression of Digby's house style, it stems from England's most luscious Pinot Noir with rich, aged Chardonnay and plummy Pinot Meunier.
Storm Point Red Blend 2018Sexy aromas of pomegranate, cranberry, orange peel and chai tea with a hint of wet gravel. The palate is fresh and uplifting with notes of briary raspberry, morello cherry and wild lavender finished with an orange twist. This is an ethereal, vivid red blend that is perfect for any season or any occasion.
Bodega Gaintza Getariako - Txakolina Bianco 2018Visual Phase: Straw yelow with lime green tones. Green reflexes and metalic huses. Nose Phase: Fresh, salty sea aromas. Apple based aroma, that offers white flowers and sweet citrus. Taste Phase: Fresh red fruit mouthfeel, with a balanced citrus finish.
Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry 2015Our 2015 Tapestry is a true reflection of the exceptional 2015 growing season with its expressive, vibrant aromas and flavors, along with incredible structure, layered with an underscore of bright acidity that makes this wine incredibly approachable. This is a wine that shows the artistry of blending five Bordeaux-heritage grape varieties grown within the Napa Valley, which contribute layer-upon-layer of flavor complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon imparts a generous core of juicy wild blackberry, dark blueberry cobbler, and cassis, while the Merlot shows a brighter, riper dark cherry fruit character. The Merlot also softens the tannins and adds plushness and texture on the generous and pleasing mouthfeel. Malbec contributed dark plum and briary blackberry notes, while the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot completed the blend with broad nuances of violet, wild sage, and anise seed. Well integrated notes of graham cracker crust and gingerbread also tantalize your senses from the toasted oak spices - having been aged in new French oak barrels - which heighten the aromas and linger on the finish. Amazingly food friendly.
Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove 2017Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2017 expresses itself with outstanding elegance, combining great ageing potential with immediate enjoyability. A deep ruby red colour with purple highlights, a beautifully complex nose characterised by scents of small red berries and balsamic notes reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub vegetation. The quality of the tannins on the palate is particularly striking, smooth and silky. The mouthfeel ends with a lingering finish and unexpected freshness.
Purcari Rosu de Purcari Red 2015Rosu de Purcari is a revelation for wine lovers: ripe, rich, and full of flavor. Red like fire, passionate as the first love, irresistible as a beautiful woman. It has a brick-red color and a complex aroma of forest fruits, cranberries, and dried plums revealing delicate sweet nuances of vanilla. The fruit flavor surprises through its refinement, deepness and smoothness, ensuring a long lasting aftertaste.
St. Supery Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2018In the glass, the wine presents with vibrant yellow and green hues. Intense aromas of pink grapefruit and kiwi are met with a hint of pear and anise, balanced with seductive toasted oak char. Rich flavors of kiwi, lime and grapefruit zest on the palate combine while the toasted qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a full, rich mouthfeel with a subtle creaminess from sur-lie maturation.
Château-Gassier Esprit Gassier Rosé 2019A very clear Rosé with lychee shades. Notes of almond flowers with peach notes. The wine is pleasant and generous with a round body and great freshness. Subtle fresh almond and redcurrent aromas. Long-lasting aromas with a sour final.
Broc Cellars Love Red 2018The Love Red grapes are harvested early to highlight the fruit and preserve the acidity. The Carignan is a combination of whole cluster and destemmed fruit from four 70 year-old dry farmed vineyards. The Valdiguié and Syrah were whole cluster. The wine was aged in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and concrete tanks.
Ameztoi Rubentis Rosé 2019Pale pink with shades of fuchsia, its bright tone shows a fine and elegant bubble. Fine and sophisticated fragrance accompanied with notes of citrus and menthol. Harmonious in the mouth, freshness that reminds you the strawberry sour caramel, tasting cheerful because of its bubbles. Pair with all kinds of seafood and fish. Excellent with oysters, sushi or tempura fish. Rice, vegetables, pilaf, white meat.
Weingut Axel Pauly Generations Riesling Feinherb 2017Delicately floral with lightly smoky citrus, everything very subtle but definite. Almost chewy in its fresh density. Plenty of fruit extract but also a fine fresh framework and underneath it all, a mineral finesse. Just-ripe apricot and gentle spice on the finish. Very pure and persistent.
Domaine Hubert Bouzereau-Gruere et Filles Meursault Les Tillets Blanc 2016Domaine Bouzereau-Gruère et Filles is an up-and-coming Domaine that is not yet receiving the attention it should. With a range of family holdings in some Meursault's most important vineyards, and a new generation that has raised the quality bar equal to their holdings, there's a lot to like here. Marie-Anne, the daughter in charge of winemaking, is an acolyte of and trained under Puligny icon Jacques Carillon. As such, the wines here have an elegance, breed and length that is undeniable. With excellent vineyards and top-notch winemaking, as well as sane pricing, this is a Domaine to take note of! This is a tiny Meursault house that produces wines of tremendous value. This wine has beautiful minerality which awakens the taste buds; notes of grapefruit and lemon are present. The elegant touch of oak is present but only slightly so, and pairs delicately with the bouquet of the wine. Don't miss!
Niepoort Twisted 2018The wine has a beautiful, intense ruby colour. The nose reflects the 2018 vintage - a cool year with moderate ripeness. The aromatic profile of the wine is elegant, boasting mineral notes in perfect harmony with balsamic, floral and fresh red fruit aromas. The palate is light and elegant, with smooth but persistent tannins and a pleasant acidity which makes the wine easy to drink and enjoy.
Domaine La Ligiere Côtes du Rhône Les Capelles 2015Deep violet color. The nose reveals notes of fresh fruit, currant, blueberry, and licorice. On the palate, it is crisp, fleshy, fresh, with hints of red fruit and supple tannins. Pairs well with charcuterie or rack of lamb.
Gérard Boulay Sancerre Rosé Sibylle 2019

Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Sable 2018This is simply stunning, fleshy yet driven, with ripe, oozing fruit--blood plum and blackcurrants and blood. It offers the most Burgundian texture of the pack but of course there is the wonderful cut and thrust of old-vine Morgon. The finish is long, sweet and perfumed. In the context of modern Burgundy this is an unbelievable bargain. Serve it in a Burgundy glass to maximise the perfume and finesse on offer.
