Broc Cellars Love Red 2018
|Region||California, North Coast|
The Love Red grapes are harvested early to highlight the fruit and preserve the acidity. The Carignan is a combination of whole cluster and destemmed fruit from four 70 year-old dry farmed vineyards. The Valdiguié and Syrah were whole cluster. The wine was aged in a combination of neutral French oak barrels and concrete tanks.
Heidi Schrock Furmint 2015The Furmint tastes best to one of my favorite dishes: Paprikahendl with dumplings.
Antonelli Sagrantino di Montefalco 2012Appearance: Intense ruby red in colour. Aroma: To the nose rich and powerful, ethereal and very complex. Typically characterised by notes of fruit and aromatic herbs, featuring citrus, cherry, wild berry, mint and oregano. Mouth Feel: On the palate this wine is very structured, with firm and persistent tannins. A wine that is best expressed with a long bottle ageing. Notes of stony minerals and lemon give the wine a beautiful structure balanced by a fruity roundness, with a finish marked by hints of citrus fruits.
Digby Fine English Brut NVVibrant yet understated, this fizz is in its element at home on a Tuesday evening or at a party celebrating one of life's big moments. An engaging expression of Digby's house style, it stems from England's most luscious Pinot Noir with rich, aged Chardonnay and plummy Pinot Meunier.
Storm Point Red Blend 2018Sexy aromas of pomegranate, cranberry, orange peel and chai tea with a hint of wet gravel. The palate is fresh and uplifting with notes of briary raspberry, morello cherry and wild lavender finished with an orange twist. This is an ethereal, vivid red blend that is perfect for any season or any occasion.
Bodega Gaintza Getariako - Txakolina Bianco 2018Visual Phase: Straw yelow with lime green tones. Green reflexes and metalic huses. Nose Phase: Fresh, salty sea aromas. Apple based aroma, that offers white flowers and sweet citrus. Taste Phase: Fresh red fruit mouthfeel, with a balanced citrus finish.
Beaulieu Vineyard Reserve Tapestry 2015Our 2015 Tapestry is a true reflection of the exceptional 2015 growing season with its expressive, vibrant aromas and flavors, along with incredible structure, layered with an underscore of bright acidity that makes this wine incredibly approachable. This is a wine that shows the artistry of blending five Bordeaux-heritage grape varieties grown within the Napa Valley, which contribute layer-upon-layer of flavor complexity. Cabernet Sauvignon imparts a generous core of juicy wild blackberry, dark blueberry cobbler, and cassis, while the Merlot shows a brighter, riper dark cherry fruit character. The Merlot also softens the tannins and adds plushness and texture on the generous and pleasing mouthfeel. Malbec contributed dark plum and briary blackberry notes, while the Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot completed the blend with broad nuances of violet, wild sage, and anise seed. Well integrated notes of graham cracker crust and gingerbread also tantalize your senses from the toasted oak spices - having been aged in new French oak barrels - which heighten the aromas and linger on the finish. Amazingly food friendly.
Ornellaia Le Serre Nuove 2017Le Serre Nuove dell'Ornellaia 2017 expresses itself with outstanding elegance, combining great ageing potential with immediate enjoyability. A deep ruby red colour with purple highlights, a beautifully complex nose characterised by scents of small red berries and balsamic notes reminiscent of Mediterranean scrub vegetation. The quality of the tannins on the palate is particularly striking, smooth and silky. The mouthfeel ends with a lingering finish and unexpected freshness.
Purcari Rosu de Purcari Red 2015Rosu de Purcari is a revelation for wine lovers: ripe, rich, and full of flavor. Red like fire, passionate as the first love, irresistible as a beautiful woman. It has a brick-red color and a complex aroma of forest fruits, cranberries, and dried plums revealing delicate sweet nuances of vanilla. The fruit flavor surprises through its refinement, deepness and smoothness, ensuring a long lasting aftertaste.
St. Supery Dollarhide Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2018In the glass, the wine presents with vibrant yellow and green hues. Intense aromas of pink grapefruit and kiwi are met with a hint of pear and anise, balanced with seductive toasted oak char. Rich flavors of kiwi, lime and grapefruit zest on the palate combine while the toasted qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a full, rich mouthfeel with a subtle creaminess from sur-lie maturation.

Excellent with oysters, sushi or tempura fish. Rice, vegetables, pilaf, white meat.
Weingut Axel Pauly Generations Riesling Feinherb 2017Delicately floral with lightly smoky citrus, everything very subtle but definite. Almost chewy in its fresh density. Plenty of fruit extract but also a fine fresh framework and underneath it all, a mineral finesse. Just-ripe apricot and gentle spice on the finish. Very pure and persistent.
Domaine Hubert Bouzereau-Gruere et Filles Meursault Les Tillets Blanc 2016Domaine Bouzereau-Gruère et Filles is an up-and-coming Domaine that is not yet receiving the attention it should. With a range of family holdings in some Meursault's most important vineyards, and a new generation that has raised the quality bar equal to their holdings, there's a lot to like here. Marie-Anne, the daughter in charge of winemaking, is an acolyte of and trained under Puligny icon Jacques Carillon. As such, the wines here have an elegance, breed and length that is undeniable. With excellent vineyards and top-notch winemaking, as well as sane pricing, this is a Domaine to take note of! This is a tiny Meursault house that produces wines of tremendous value. This wine has beautiful minerality which awakens the taste buds; notes of grapefruit and lemon are present. The elegant touch of oak is present but only slightly so, and pairs delicately with the bouquet of the wine. Don't miss!
Niepoort Twisted 2018The wine has a beautiful, intense ruby colour. The nose reflects the 2018 vintage - a cool year with moderate ripeness. The aromatic profile of the wine is elegant, boasting mineral notes in perfect harmony with balsamic, floral and fresh red fruit aromas. The palate is light and elegant, with smooth but persistent tannins and a pleasant acidity which makes the wine easy to drink and enjoy.

Weingut Barbara Öhlzelt Grüner Leader Grüner Veltliner 2019 1LThe Grüner Leader is from a combination of all of Barbara's Grüner vineyards with an average vine age of 30 years.
Daniel Bouland Morgon Corcelette Vieilles Vignes Sable 2018This is simply stunning, fleshy yet driven, with ripe, oozing fruit--blood plum and blackcurrants and blood. It offers the most Burgundian texture of the pack but of course there is the wonderful cut and thrust of old-vine Morgon. The finish is long, sweet and perfumed. In the context of modern Burgundy this is an unbelievable bargain. Serve it in a Burgundy glass to maximise the perfume and finesse on offer.
Maso Grener Nosiola 2018
Lokoya Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2011This appellation lies above the town of St. Helena on the eastern slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, which separate Napa Valley from Sonoma Valley and the Santa Rosa Plain. The vineyard is located at 1,600 feet and has sedimentary soils. The wine it produces opens with a signature floral perfume that leads to red and black fruit flavors. Satiny tannins yield on the palate, yet will fully reward cellaring.
Bevan Sugarloaf Mountain Proprietary Red 2013What a great run we have had with this vineyard. We recently locked up our blocks long term, ensuring that we will be making this wine for many years to come, and we couldn't be more excited. Stylistically, the 2013 is a combination of the 2012, which had higher acidity and tannin than any previous vintage, and the 2009, which had the most intense dark chocolate flavors. It almost has a sweetness to it, but the wine is bone dry. This extreme site provides incredibly seductive textures and pure sex appeal.
Silk & Spice Red Blend
Ramey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014Our tenth vintage of this appellation Cabernet is blended from a combination of hillside and valley floor vineyards. Our style combines the harmony produced by traditional Bordelaise winemaking techniques with the voluptuousness gained from California's weather, especially in this perfect vintage.
Araujo Estate Altagracia Cabernet Sauvignon 2009The aromas from this wine, made from a blend of Eisele Vineyard and premium Napa Valley fruit, literally jump out of the glass with notes of blackberry bramble, black plums, sour cherries and cherry cola nuanced by touches of bay leaf, chaparral, tobacco and tar. In the mouth, it coats the palate with dense, velvety texture and seductive, ripe flavors of red fruit, tar and coffee, followed by a long mineral finish that reveals its underlying grace.
Opus One Napa Valley Red 2015Initial dark fruit, spice and baking aromas in the Opus One 2015 are interwoven with seductive notes of violet, black tea, and sage. The entry is vibrant with ripe dark fruit flavors of plum, blackberry and blueberry followed by hints of vanilla and cocoa. Silky, fine-grained tannins provide structure and a creamy texture. Ferrari-Carano Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016Vibrant aromas of black cherry, plum, cardamom, cedar, sage and sandalwood spice awaken the senses, while full-bodied flavors of licorice, leather, cocoa, vanilla and toasty caramel fill the palate. Notes of toasty leather round out the finish. Our Cabernet Sauvignon pairs well with roasted, broiled or barbecued game and red meats such as lamb and beef, as well as pork and veal. Medium and strong‐flavored cheeses, such as blue cheese or sharp Cheddar, also pair nicely with this wine.
Continuum Proprietary Red 20162016 Continuum has heightened citrus blossom and rose petal aromatics, and builds in power and presence on the palate with cassis, dark fruits, bergamot, and dried wild herb with notes of cigar box and leather. Exquisitely balanced, 2016 is expansive and sinewy on the mid palate with a graphite and earthy minerality. The firm iron core of these volcanic soils causes the vines to struggle, producing fewer but more flavorful berries. That is expressed in 2016 Continuum's vibrancy, many layers and assertive structure, all of which pay homage to its origin. For the fullest sensory experience we encourage decanting to allow the wine to breathe before serving. Decanting awakens the wine's more purely fragrant expression and enhances the suppleness of the palate. Continuum is accessible and enjoyable upon release; however extended aging will be richly rewarded.
Leese Fitch Cabernet Sauvignon 2017A dark ruby color, raspberry and sassafras aromas are complemented by sweet cherry, cinnamon, vanilla and subtle oak notes. Pairs perfectly with a marinated portabella mushroom burger on a potato bun with a roasted red pepper aioli, beef stroganoff alongside classic green bean casserole or a spicy pepperoni pizza.
Mayacamas Mt. Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon 2015The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has great elegance and power. Ripe raspberry and sarsaparilla highlight the aromatics on the nose. Layered notes of dried lavender and wet slate highlight both vineyard site and winemaking style. On the palate this wine's fresh acidity and gravelly minerality lead to great focus at the finish and compliment notes of fig, leather and cacao.
Trefethen Double T Red 2017This juicy red blend opens with fruit-forward notes of blackberry, dried cherry and plum complemented by rich aromatics of cedar and black pepper. Sebastiani Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2017Cocoa, raspberry jam, and dried fig highlight a bright, fresh nose that quickly settles into a steady parade of baking spices, black pepper, and earth. Deceptively soft initially, the wine builds with its viscosity and concentration amidst layers of ripe plum, very fine tannins, and espresso bean. A lively ginger note adds a touch of spice, bolstered by dried cherry, tobacco, and fresh bright cranberries. The finish is laser-focused, mineral-driven and persistent, not unexpected in young Cabernet. Delicious now, it will add breadth and polish with time in glass.
