Chateau Moulinet Pomerol 2010
|Region||France, Bordeaux, Pomerol|
This has a dark, almost loamy spine, with notes of ganache, warm linzer torte and steeped black currant leading to a racy finish that lets the dark fruit, tar and melted licorice play out nicely. Best from 2015 through 2025. 4,166 cases made.
(15% alcohol): Medium-deep red. Aromas of kirsch, mocha, tobacco and caramel. Plush and smooth if a bit small-scaled, with easygoing flavors of plum, tobacco, mocha and milk chocolate. The chewy tannins turned a bit dry with air but this wine has an essentially soft texture. I'd consume it over the next seven or eight years.
