The 2020 Syrah Estate Grown is superb. Bright and punchy, with terrific fruit purity, the Estate dazzles with energy and nuance. Red/purplish fruit, rose petal, lavender and blood orange race across the palate. I don't think I have ever tasted an Estate with this much vibrancy. It's a new standard for Stolplman and for Ballard Canyon.

As to the 2020 Syrah Estate, this is another brilliant wine with serious character from this estate. Lots of darker, blue fruits, ground pepper, and iron-like nuances dominate the bouquet, and it's medium-bodied, has good acidity, and a fresher, focused, almost cool-climate-like vibe, which is common from this estate today. Drink this incredibly impressive, layered, classic Syrah over the coming 10-12 years.

Made with about 30% whole clusters, the 2020 Syrah Estate has a deep ruby-purple color and alluring aromas of blackcurrants, tilled earth, aniseed, dried roses and orange peel. The medium-bodied palate is grainy and fresh with spicy fruits and an uplifted finish.
