A. Margaine Rosé de Saignée
|Region||France, Champagne, Reims|
The dark colored, non-vintaged Rosé de Saignée Extra-Brut is Arnaud Margaine's first saignée. Based on 2011, this is an assemblage of 75% Pinot Noir (which was macerated for 24 hours) and 25% Chardonnay that was disgorged in June 2015. The wine offers some greenish flavors along with candied cherry aromas. It's very fruity on the palate, but dry and reveals some food-friendly tannins. Though the finish is a bit austere, this Rosé should go very well with food. Small production, only 1,500 bottles at maximum.
