Fort Hill Brewery Farmers Fresh
With a focus on sessionability, we took fermentation strategies from lagers and applied them to this ale. The old world brewing of this brew would typically result in a Kölsch, but because of our hopping techniques, the result is a session IPA. We hopped this beer by throwing in seven lbs of hops at the beginning of the boil. Right before the unfermented beer was sent into the heat exchanger, we added 100 more pounds of Cascade, Nugget, and Summit, about two pounds per barrel.
