This mineral driven white is emblematic of the New Douro – dialing back over-extraction and power in favor of nuance and expression of place. This field blend is comprised of 4 indigenous varieties, all planted to schist (“Xisto”) soil. The high elevation plantings,combined with Luis’ deft touch and minimal interventionist philosophy, produce a white wine of incredible elegance and sense of place. “it has the lemon-mineral punch of great Burgundy, plus a ripe pear fruitiness and remarkable density.
