The 2017 Cannonau di Sardegna Sa Mola lifts up with a display of musky black cherries, ripe strawberries and flowery undergrowth. This is silky in texture yet also juicy, with red and black fruits giving way to a coating of salty minerals and hints of fine tannin. Peppery herbs, green olive and a zing of residual acids sizzle throughout the long, tension-filled finale.
