This Chianti is the classic Tuscan blend of Sangiovese and Nebbiolo. The DOCG refers to the regional boundaries allowed for producing Chianti, like the Appellations of France. This supple, medium-bodied Chianti is grown entirely on the Poppiano Estate southwest of Florence. This wine has expressive berry aromas, and cherry flavors. It's a great balance between acidity and tannins. Elegant, deep and long finish. This wine is best paired with salads, cheeses, light meats, turkey, and veal.
