A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, in varying proportions depending on the vintage. Classic methods; 20-22 months in barrels of which 25% are new annually. Well balanced and fruity, it usually matures within 5-8 years.
A clean and focused wine, with raspberry, currant and just the right amount of wood on the nose and palate. Medium- to full-bodied, with silky tannins and a long finish. Second wine of Lynch-Bages. Best after 2005. 10,000 cases made.
