This 2020 Sablet opens with a beautiful bouquet, fruit and floral interlaced with a delightful terroir notes. The palate is intense and generous: chewy fruit yields to a lovely counterpoint of earthy loam and aged leather. The deep black-and-blue berry notes immediately recall the lush characteristics of the southern Rhone. This Sablet shows all the savoir-faire of exceptional Vacqueras and Gigondas.

A classic Rhone Valley blend; Grenache with some Syrah picked from numerous plots around Sablet. It’s dark, spicy, and smooth on the palate, while retaining an old school rusticity. The seductively rich fruit tapers to a long, elegant finish that persists with dry, finessed tannins and a light touch of oak.
