This meaty powerhouse of a Cabernet Sauvignon packs bushels of blackberries and dried black cherries. It's fuller-bodied, with grippy tannins and elevated acidity. Decanting conjures up aromas and flavors of spicy red cedar wood, dark chocolate and a touch of lemony catmint to accompany the fruit. - Michael Alberty

While youthfully coy, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is also rich and darkly alluring, as swirling brings out dusty black currants, dried flowers and lifting fresh mint. It's silky smooth and pliant with ripe black fruits contrasted by saturating mineral tones as purple-tinged inner florals amass toward the close. Grippy tannins come forward through the midium-length finale as the 2020 lingers on with a smoky tinge. I don't get the depth and concentration of the best vintages here, but the 202o does excel with its upfront fruit and giving personality. That said, these tannins will need some time to resolve.

The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley brings more charm, with a pretty, floral, lifted style as well as red and blue fruits, medium body, and a juicy, clean finish.
