Unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil, Anjou pear, green apple, white flowers and pastry cream, framed by a deft touch of youthful reduction, the 2020 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières is medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a seamless, racy profile and a bright, saline finish.

The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet Let Folatieres 1er Cru a well-defined bouquet, just a little reduction, dried honey and a touch of honeysuckle, gaining intensity in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a sappy opening, a fine bead of acidity, quite concentrated with light tropical tones towards the green olive-tinged finish. Maybe the just misses a bit of tension, but otherwise this is one I would drink earlier than others.
