The 2020 Volnay Village comes from two lieux-dits: Es Echards and Es Blanche. It has quite an outgoing nose with a mixture of blueberry and raspberry fruit, touches of orange pith emerging with time. The palate is quite structured and Pommard-like, maybe a little more structured than expected with just a touch of spice on the finish. Fine.
