Born from a single vineyard, located at an energetic exchange where Mt. Veeder tumbles down into the Oak Knoll AVA. The redwood trees high up on the neighboring mountainsides give way to oak trees further down the slopes, and sedimentary soils of sandstone and shale are home to mature grapevines, brambly blackberry bushes, and wild plum trees.

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon DI CO is a potent, burly wine. Black fruit, cloves, licorice and menthol hit the palate, all framed by firm chocolatey tannins that lend considerable structure. This is a pretty serious, dense and mouth-filling wine for an entry-level offering. Sourced from Oak Knoll.
