Aromas of red cherries, pomegranate, light herbs, pepper. Earthy, juicy, round: good acid-fruit balance. Pairs well with aged local French cheese, charcuterie, pork, and sausages with herbs.

A blend of several small parcels south of Vosne village, the 2022 Bourgogne Rouge shows a tad more cohesion than the Hautes-Cotes Rouge and a little more clarity. The palate is fresh on the entry with dark cherries and strawberries. The fine-boned structure has a slightly granular finish. This is well worth seeking out, and it might well last longer than most people will afford it.
