Pierre Gaillard St. Joseph 2018
Also in tank when I visited, the early bottling of Gaillard's 2018 Saint Joseph looks to be another slurpable wine. It's full-bodied, creamy and lush, with crushed-stone accents, ripe blackberries and a salty-mineral note on the finish.
More peppery herbs, earthy underbrush, cedar, and black cherry notes define the 2018 Saint Joseph, which excels on its balance and purity. With medium-bodied richness as well as ripe tannins, it's going to drink nicely right out of the gate yet also evolve nicely.
