Stellar Vosne-Romanée is from two Cru vineyards: Les Réas and Au Dessus de la Rivière.
Both vineyards were planted by Domaine Francois Gerbet in 1960 and are located at the southern end of Vosne. Fantastic, old Pinot Noir vines showcasing very well. Vivid, refined, and floral nose, with a bouquet of lovely Vosne spices and a very deep palate
full of deep, dark Pinot berry fruit.

"..Ripe, but really quite fresh with its cool essence of markedly spicy aromas of red and dark currant and floral hints. There is both great verve and detail to the refreshingly saline flavors where the impressively long finish is shaped by firm tannins. I very much like the depth and persistence though I would underscore that this is a very serious Vosne villages that will require at least some patience and should reward 10 to 12 years.
