The 2020 Syrah Laborde Double Select from La Consulta, Uco Valley was aged for 12 months in 35% new French barrels. Purple in the glass. The nose presents toasted aromas along with white pepper and blackberry jam over an oaky bed of vanilla. The palate is indulgent, broad and taut with a creamy feel and somewhat tartaric but measured freshness; bold flavors develop at the end.

This wine is well-balanced and has a restrained nose with subtle notes of strawberry and red plum. Lively acidity and soft but firm tannins hold ripe red fruit flavors and vanilla. It shows hints of herbs in the medium finish.

The leafy and herbal 2020 Laborde Double Select Syrah has notes of ripe berries and integrated oak, with limited varietal character and quite fruit-driven, with a juicy palate and fine tannins.
