The 2017 Clos Haut-Peyraguey is fabulously rich and dense, not to mention every bit as impressive as it was en primeur. Creamy, nuanced, powerful, sumptuous, the 2017 possesses tons of nuance and sheer depth. Lemon confit, baked pineapple, mint, honey, chamomile and apricot are some of the many aromas and flavors that develop in the glass. The balance of unctuousness and freshness is beguiling.

Barrel Sample. This is a full and rich wine that is also stylish and balanced. It has acidity, layers of spice and ripe botrytis fruit. It is a powerful wine that will need time, so drink from 2024.

The 2017 Clos Haut-Peyraguey showed brilliantly and is another stunning Sauternes from this great vintage. White peach, honeycomb, flowers, and plenty of botrytis notes all emerge from the glass, and it's nicely textured and full-bodied, with a beautiful balance between its fruit and acidity. It's already delicious yet should evolve for two decades.

Very lush and forward, with creamed pear, warm peach melba and hazelnut notes set against a backdrop of warm piecrust. Bold and broad through the finish. Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2032. 1,666 cases made.

The 2017 Clos Haut-Peyraguey offers up aromas of key lime pie, candied orange peel and pineapple upside-down cake with hints of peach blossoms and gingerbread. It has loads of layers on the satin-textured palate with bold freshness and a long, spicy finish.
