The 2021 Bourgogne-Chitry was raised entirely in used barrels. This is slightly more expressive than the Aligote, with yellow plum, wild peach, and lanolin touches. It is discrete at first, then finds its voice after 2-3 minutes. The palate is marvelous with tangy orange rind and bitter lemon notes, fresh and energetic with a vivacious finish revivifying the senses. Excellent. Difficult to believe the status of this marvelous wine.
