This Brunello from Croce di Mezzo had us at the pop of the cork. A beautifully balanced and elegant Brunello from a producer that showed great success with the 2018 vintage. This wine is not shy upon opening and delivers a mouthwatering, savory wine with all the things one would want from top-flight Brunello. Dark fruit and spice, a luscious coating of the palate. Silky tannins support the creamy red & dark fruit flavors. This wine is drinking beautifully now, and will continue to improve in the cellar through 2030."
