The nose is lemony (and more lively than that of Puligny-Montrachet - Les Paupillots), we perceive iodized notes which cross thyme, verbena and a scent of white grapes.
On the palate, the wine shines with its minerality (particularly sensitive for a village appellation) with a sumptuous iodized finish. This Puligny is less fatty but longer than that from the Les Paupillots climate. The grapes come from higher up and the wine is already rockier.
Vinous
- v89-91
The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Levrons, which was not affected by frost and consequently bestowed a generous 50hl/ha, has a minerally bouquet that unfolds in the glass, with touches of wet limestone and struck match. The palate is well balanced with a spicy opening, fine depth and a keen thread of acidity; a sprinkling of white pepper appears towards the finish. For a Village Cru, this is satisfactory, though not long- term.
